Andrew Cheetham

Andrew was born in Heywood, Manchester, in 1971 and studied at Liverpool John Moores University and Central St. Martin's College of Art. He now lives and works in Scarborough, North Yorkshire, where he has a studio in one of the baiting sheds on the harbour side. Much of his work depicts the grandeur and dramatic beauty to be found in the physical remains of our industrial heritage. Since 2000 he has been documenting the Scarborough fishing industry's dramatic decline, with the ever-changing and inspiring sea as a constant in his work.
