Peter Sarginson

Peter was born in Marske-by-Sea on the North Yorkshire coast and studied at Middlesbrough College of Art and the Bath Academy of Art. He went on to become Art Advisor to the West Riding of Yorkshire authority and the spent many years as Principal of the prestigious West Dean College in Sussex. After retiring and moving back to North Yorkshire he resumed painting, concentrating on the patterns created by the ever changing seashore and producing beautiful works that have received wide acclaim. Peter died in 2017 after a battle with illness.
