Tom Alderson

Tom grew up in County Durham and served in the RAF during the Second World War. When peace returned he joined Spennymoor Settlement sketching club and then studied Fine Art and Commercial Design at the Central School of Art and Design in London. He was a lecturer at Cleveland College of Art and Design for 25 years until his retirement in 1985 and then continued painting right up until his death in 2010.
