Will Taylor

Born in North East England, where he spent most of his life, Will, who died in 1998, was known especially for linocuts, produced on a Victorian press in his studio at his home on the North York Moors. Many of his pictures reflect the moors, coastline and contrasting landscape of the industry in his local area, but Will also found inspiration in the varied landscape right across the North of England and Scotland. It has been said that his work has a quietness about it: a gentleness which grew out of his love for this part of the world.
